A great job done by the over 300 volunteers who came out in the rain to help make our community cleaner and greener.  Pictures are posted on the KIB Facebook page here:  http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.451345154907595.95355.156658374376276&type=3

Thanks to everyone who registered online for the Trinity Trash Bash.

We have around 400 people signed up, and we hope to see all of you at Trinity View Park on Saturday, rain or shine!

Irving’s 21st Annual Trinity Trash Bash will be held at Trinity View Park, and will include a waterway cleanup of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River in addition to the land-based cleanup of the park.     We will be partnering with Kayak Power, who will provide the following:

  • Kayaks
  • Paddles
  • Life Vests
  • Safety Instruction

Due to limited space available, we will take waterway volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis, at the event site.

Restrictions for this event are as follows:

  • No personal watercraft – Kayak Power will supply all the kayaks
  • Age 15 and older only for waterway cleanup (with parent/guardian signed release form)
  • No age restrictions for land cleanup

KIB will supply litter pickers, vests, gloves and  trash bags for the cleanup, along with lunch, music and prize drawings afterwards.  You supply the energy, enthusiasm and volunteer spirit.
